Megan Tazzi, LCSW
Career Counselor & Career Coach
Waypoint Career Counseling was created for people who feel stuck, burned out, or uncertain about their next professional step—even when they’ve “done everything right.”
Megan Tazzi brings over a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker and career counselor, helping clients understand the connection between their work, mental health, and overall well-being so they can create careers that truly fit their lives.
It all started with a sign Megan’s mother placed on her bedroom door when she was sixteen years old: “Megan E. Tazzi, Psychologist — Private Practice.” From an early age, Megan knew she wanted to build a practice centered on helping others. After earning her Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College and navigating the realities of entering the workforce during the 2008 economic crash, she began her career in social work—an experience that shaped her perspective and deepened her understanding of real-world challenges.
Megan opened her private practice in 2014 during a pivotal personal chapter and achieved the dream she had envisioned for years. Over time, she recognized that reaching a goal doesn’t mean growth is complete. That realization led her to expand her work to include career counseling—helping clients navigate change, uncertainty, and progress with intention. Today, Megan supports individuals in building self-awareness, confidence, and resilience as they move toward meaningful, sustainable careers.
A Mental Health–Informed Approach to Career Counseling
Megan’s work blends evidence-based counseling with practical career coaching. Rather than focusing solely on resumes or job titles, she helps clients explore values, patterns, confidence, and decision-making—so change feels grounded and lasting.
Her approach includes:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) training with experience across therapeutic modalities
Career counseling that integrates mental health, career strategy, and personal well-being
Support for career transitions, burnout recovery, and work-life balance
Thoughtful guidance paired with actionable steps and accountability
This integrated approach helps clients move forward with clarity—without feeling rushed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.
